JULIUS CHEESER

My brother is apart of the ROTC at his college, and when he contacted me earlier this year asking how to best care for a rat I was immediately concerned. Cheezer was originally owned by a collective of college students who took him on their runs and hikes and wanted to release him into the wild when he had "served his time". Luckily, my brother saved him from that fate and relocated him into mine and my partner's loving arms. We took him in and gave him a cage upgrade as well as many treats and pets and patience. It took him a bit to warm up to us, but now he happily clambers out of his cage up my arm, something that used to take him hours to get up the courage to do. This last month we were finally able to get two new boys, featured below, to be his friends! Introductions are set to begin soon, and I really hope he's able to live the ratty life he's always deserved.

COMET

Comet is one of two dumbo rex brothers we picked out to be Cheezer's friends. He's the braver of the two, always happy to wander to the door and nibble my fingers. I love the little white streak he has across his face and his little hands. Unfortunately, despite being the cutest little baby in the whole wide world, he absolutely refuses to sit still for a picture, and thus all I have is blurry and unflattering images of my beautiful boy. He loves applesauce and his fuzzy tube, and hates being removed from his fuzzy tube so I can wash it and his brother having treats when he doesn't.

JUPITER

Jupiter is the second of the brothers, the biggest baby in the tub when we went to pick them up and the most skittish one too. He's still getting used to my partner and I, but he's been slowly warming up as we ply him with applesauce and banana slices. He loves his castle hide and burrowing, and despite being the more nervous of the two he's definitely the more food-motivated one, always the first at the door when I bring out the treats. He's a big marshmallow, and I hope that having a second friend will boost his confidence.
